West Stadium Boulevard Construction Update
The start of the West Stadium Blvd construction may be
delayed due to the weather. The contract start date is Monday, March 1.
Next week we will assess the weather daily and begin construction as soon
as the conditions allow. We are still hopeful to start next week, if not
Monday. I will send out another update once we have determined the exact
start date.
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me at erolla@a2gov.org
or 734-794-6410 ext. 43636.
The project will include:
- Complete reconstruction of the street
- 4 to 3 lane conversion (between Suffolk and Franklin) with on-street bike lanes on both sides
- New large-capacity storm sewer pipes to provide detention and improved water quality downstream
- Removal and replacement of the existing street trees
- New water main to replace the existing water distribution pipes
- New sidewalk ramps and LED energy efficient street lights.
Detour Route:
One lane of westbound traffic (one-way) will be maintained
through the construction zone.
Eastbound traffic will be detoured westbound on Pauline Blvd to southbound
on Maple Rd to eastbound on Scio Church Rd to northbound on Main Street.
