Do you have a product or service on special this week?

Did you start carrying a new product or offering a new service?

Any new changes to your business?

If you answered “yes” to any of these questions, you have a need for email marketing.  Email newsletters deliver your companies important right to clients and potentially new clients.  “Transactional emails have 8X more opens and clicks than any other type of email and can generate 6X more revenue” – Experian.  It is sent with just a click – no paper or postage costs involved!

First, you need a platform and an email list.  Just sign up for an account at platform (Constant Contact, MailChimp, ConvertKit, and more) and import your contacts.  By law, only import the email addresses of people who given permission to be on your email list.  You are not allowed to add emails you find anywhere.  Add a list signup option on your website and social media, have a signup sheet or drawing for signing up at your business and/or trade shows, and add the link or text to join on all other marketing.    They are added to the list with no work on your end and have an option to unsubscribe at any time through Mailchimp.

You have a list – now what do you do?  You build relationships.  Let the newsletter design match your business and other marketing design – use the colors you use on your website, social media and other marketing, add your logo, link to the website and social media.  Show what you have accomplished – new floral designs, a finished product, before and after pictures.  Also, let them know why they need to choose you – customer review, what makes you different, how you are an expert.

Social Media, website, and email marketing work together.  You have links to your other channels on your newsletter and link articles to your website so they can read more.  It is a part of the strong digital marketing relationship.  “Email subscribers are 3 times more likely to share your content via social media than visitors from other sources.” – QuickSprout.  If you tie all three parts – social, website, and email together, they make the amazing internet sales team that will create help you gain attention in the digital world.
